No one has a crystal ball to predict what will happen. The best predictor of future results is past results. All these excuses about injuries blah blah blah - I guarantee you every team playing in the post season this year and for the past 50+ years in the NFL had to deal with injuries. The good coaches/GM's overcome that with good drafting, picking up good FA's, and coaching. Honestly, I think Loomis is more to blame than Payton, but Payton had a big hand in all 3 factors that I mentioned above.

Not to mention all the coaches that he hires or the ones he keeps in a job because they are all his besties regardless of how shoddy they all collectively are. What a waste.
