Re: Terrelle Pryor as a Saint WR... should we?
Again, Willie Snead is a RFA this year...
Brandin Cooks is coming to the end of his rookie deal next year, though there's an option year... We had the No. 1 offense with Cooks-Thomas-Snead - that's your three... So you'd allocate precious cap space for ANOTHER WR? Did anyone not learn from the C.J. Spiller free agency signing? We still don't have a No. 1 TE unless Josh Hill comes in healthy, and he's more of a 1A/2TE difference maker type... Not to mention Kenny V is in his option year... And then there's Right Guard and Left Defensive End... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Terrelle Pryor as a Saint WR... should we?
People said the same thing about Ingram on here. I was one of the only ones that said watch. This move however is a real stretch but it's still on the edge of the table. If Pryor gets a good QB though look out. He's was a threat with some real garbage QB's this season.

Re: Terrelle Pryor as a Saint WR... should we?
So whose snaps/targets does he take? Not every playmaker will fit on this team that won't get 7+ targets every game. He's a upgrade over Snead, Thomas can finally go to the middle then. Otherwise, he would only affect Thomas and Snead and Cooks is already inconsistent.

The receivers outside Snead we have today I don't see them being as patient as Moore and Henderson were.

Would a free, lifetime pass to every establishment on Bourbon Street count against the cap? That's about all the Saints can afford to give him.

Re: Terrelle Pryor as a Saint WR... should we?
In the words of his former teammate Brian Hartline:
"If I'm building a team, what is [Pryor]?" Hartline asked during an appearance on Columbus radio station 105.7 The Zone (via Ohio.com). "Is he my No. 1? God, I hope not because let's put it this way: For me, I want a guy day in and day out I know what I'm getting. You don't know what you're going to get. You don't know who's going to show up. You don't know if he's going to get in trouble. You don't know if he's going to smart off. I need stability. That's so much more important to me. "I need a guy that runs routes. I need stability. I need constant production. Is he a No. 2? OK, yeah. I mean maybe. He kind of disappeared the last couple weeks. So I'm very apprehensive as a Cleveland Browns guy to give out a contract. Listen, you had one year. You're a flash in the pan. You're trying to tell me with a guy that had suspect personality characteristics, I'm going to go ahead and hand you a bunch of money but you're going to work harder? Uh, I think I'm going to bet against that if I'm a betting man." |
"When you get into one of these groups, there's only a couple of ways you can get out. One, is death; the other, is mental institutions."

Re: Terrelle Pryor as a Saint WR... should we?
2 good TE and 1 mean G is all thats needed for the O. I do look at Striefs replacement in the draft this season, not saying Strief is done, just drafting one for when he is. And if we do I hope he can last as long as Strief has.
