I'm not sure if this will benefit the players or not. It's hard to get a job during a depression and everyone will be unemployed at the same time now. It will be tough to get people up to speed without being able to get some time together at TC.

The best part about it is that NONE of the starters will be on the field at all in the final preseason game. They'll ALL come into the start of the season with two weeks away from the pounding. Less chance for injury to key players. More evaluation of borderline roster options ... on all teams.

With their draft class still left to sign, the Saints are currently have $5.8 M in salary cap space, per NFLPA records.

Take a lesson from the pats. no need to spend it unless the perfect player gets cut.
