I know Ireland can put together a good secondary. The year he drafted Vontae Davis his secondary was all rokkies. They had growing pains the first year but after that those guys played well. I can't remember the secondary coach but whoever it was did an excellent job with them.

Bighill's counterpart who is also very good was cut by 3 NFL teams. Wish him the best for sure but he's 29 and has never got a look by an NFL team. These guys are serious longshots. Just making the practice squad would be impressive.

Didn't realize Hightower was a UFA.

Tim has been solid for NO & I wouldn't be quick to let him walk.

Hightower had a great season. Very good pass catcher but struggled around the goal line. Also a humble guy but he's getting old. So many good options out there for a RB2.

We need a real plow guy like a Blount to get that 1-3 yards to paydirt. Ingram and Hightower are not those guys. Think Blount had almost 20 TD's this season. Insane. Very hard to stop that dude in short yardage. If we can get that going to make short and goal almost a given like the Pats.

I think SF had all rookie defensive backfield in Ronnie Lott's rookie season. Worked out well because it is about more than only a player's skill.

It is about playing together as a unit...which is why they practice together in sub-units.

Ditto an O Line...it's call synergy.
