Nolan has a proven track record with front sevens and defenses and I believe D.A. will need to swallow his ego a bit and give Nolan (and Nielsen) room to get the front seven fixed...

With more and more players capable of playing MIKE, and other LB spots, that will give Nolan much more flexibility with scheme and potentially creating the ability to confuse the likes of Winston, Ryan, Newton etc. Remember former Saints LB Mark Fields from the mid/late 90s?? It took him a year or two before the light came on. I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints brass keep as many as 7, 8 linebackers.

Stephone must bring it this season that is for sure. He is either gonna turn a corner and become a Derrick Johnson or Bruce Carter...so far it's been the latter.

"Can't wait until training camp starts!" ...

See, that's a great point, question; have often wonder if the senior players who were in on negotiations felt they didn't need the wear and tear, when...

...point of fact, proper condition for the minimizing of injuries can only be achieved through extended repetition of exercise, practice...

...and then there's a younger player who can only improve at his skill position through reps, which is what I was trying to highlight...

Jim Miller and Pat Kirwin made that very same argument on NFL Radio's Movin' the Chains about a week ago. They said it was the older veteran players that championed the reduced workload, but to the detriment of the younger players who would be missing out on valuable reps. They also explained that mindset in that the older players were much more likely to have families with whom they would like to be able to spend more of that summer time with than the younger players who were more likely to be single or childless.
