He won't be, but why? We already have some pretty decent safeties and Peppers would have to do some majorly illegal stuff to bulk up to linebacker size. Don't you really think we need help more with pass rush and run defense? Peppers seems like a Randle El type, more of a trick player rather than a legitimate heavy. We're gonna need a bigger player...

Not trying to piss you off, just looking for an interesting discussion.

Agreed. Except I think Peppers will be there at 11 and beyond. He doesn't have a true position, no one's sure of where to put him. It was the same deal with Shaq Thompson a couple years ago. People raved and said he was sure to go top 10. He ended up at the bottom of the first and I don't think he was worth a first at all. He's an ok player today, not a game changer.

He's able to take on TE and rb.'s out of the backfield easily. I don't think for a minute he can handle a true #1 WR but a #2 ,3, and 4 he could hang with. He's just a vesitile DB. I think he can take alot of pressure off of the lb.'ers if Allen runs the 3 S set and has the speed in base sets and blitzes I'm not saying your wrong because the pass rush was better this season but I feel it needs to improve thats why I would like another NT it's not there yet. I actually thought the 1st 3 rounds of my mock were going to be easy this year but the NT from Washington decided to go back to school. Right now until FA is addressed everything is flexable but looking at last season he would be my first choice. If we can get Carolinas backup MLB in FA Peppers would definitely still be my #1.
