this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Atlanta's in the Superbowl because they shored up their offensive line (Alex Mack) and took the pressure off of Matt Ryan... Falcons are running the ball like crazy, taking up clock, keeping the defense off the field... And then there's ...

Falcons are running the ball like crazy, taking up clock, keeping the defense off the field... And then there's their draft pick from Clemson, Vic Beasley, a Defensive End/Linebacker who was named All-Pro in his second season... So to all of you Beasley haters, try some Tony Chachere's seasoning with that crow... |

And the other part of my point is that he's only in his second season... Often good defenses don't have the top numbers because of the opponents in their division or because they're not on the field as long because they may have a run heavy offense... My point also was that having the offensive line the Falcons had, they were league leaders in the rush as mush as the pass; that's why I'd argue if we had a younger, in prime, right guard (and left guard if Peat hadn't had to relieve an injured Armstead), we could have had a run game to take some heat off Brees and gobble more time, limiting the opponents' opportunities... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
