Now that the Super Bowl has ended, another round of mock drafts has hit the worldwide web, including the release of noted ESPN analyst Todd McShay on Wednesday morning.
For the most part, the experts all expect the New Orleans Saints to still go with a pass rusher at No. 11, a pick that wouldn't surprise anybody given the team's trouble consistently getting after quarterbacks. A link is provided with each name to see who the experts had off the board when the Saints picked, and a look at both Bleacher Report and Sports Illustrated will reveal potential picks beyond the first round. Re: What the mock drafts are saying about the Saints' pick at No. 11
Other than Myles Garrett or Solomon Thomas, there's no defensive end I want in the Top 15 when there are so many other talented players at other positions that could have a dramatic impact on our team...
Malik McDowell has the talent to be Top 15, but is the whispering a red herring operation so a team hope he falls? or does the young man need to get his sh*t straight? As far as CB, I'd rather Marlon Humphrey or Marshon Lattimore before taking Syd Jones... Reuben Foster is the guy, if he makes it to us... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

The players I see coming up in mocks are Rueben Foster, Solomon Thomas, Derek Barnett , and Jamal Adams. I am good with any of these guys. I think that this draft is deep at CB and Safety. I would wait till 2nd or 3rd for those positions Guard is a position that concerns me more than CB. FA additions will shake up our needs so it hard to tell just yet.

A lot of banking on high ceiling cash ins in this group.
I hate draft over weighted on needs in rounds 1 and 2. BPA and if they fill a need at the same good if not oh well we added talent. Needs kick in round 3. |

I agree with this 100%. BPA!!! Picking for need gets you Stanley Jean Baptiste over Jarvis Landry. If Leonard Fournette is available at #11, I know unlikely, would we pick him? Well Peyton wouldn't. He won't pick LSU players.

Fournette won't be there. I would not be surprised if he even goes earlier than projected. Saying he may get in high 4.3's at the combine which is absolutely stupid for a man that big. As long as it's not the Panthers. I really don't want to face him 2X a year. Praying someone else snags him before they get a shot.

Unless we finally get our run defense tweaked.
