Looks like we'll have a pretty good line this season and with alphabet and the addition of a good DE will even be better.

I thought they said that as an afterthought if he didn't sign. Very good rotation with all and the other cast of characters.

Well ... what's a fair price? I don't think NF is elite so he can't really expect "elite" money. I do however believe he is a very good starting caliber 3-tech and it's great having him and Rankins rotate/getting creative when Dennis has them both on the field.

Right now our D line is possibly 1, maybe 2 players away from being complete. Without Fairley, we're possibly one injury away from being short handed ... again. 9M sounds about right.

Not liking this but oh well. Hope I don't have to say knew it but when has a DT ever got paid and then had good production. Almost never.

Sneaky under the radar signing? He can play both the 4-3 and the 3-4. surprising pass rush efficiency. He was one of the best interior pass rushers in 2016. May not have the glory sacks but is always pushing the pocket and getting pressure. The lack of a pass rushing skill set, was the huge knock against him during the draft and killed his stock. I like players that stick to it and just keep getting better.

We signed him to a 1 year prove it deal. He proved it.

I have no problem rewarding him with a nice contract with some incentives.

We need him.

Define "nice". Because there's a ton of risk this franchise can't afford to take when it comes to overpaying free agents. Aside from recent blunders by our front office the DT position is not as dire as it has been made to seem without Fairley.
