Barnett already showing you he has heart. Gave a solid effort and will perform even better at his college Pro Day.

Or laying the ground work for okay combine numbers and in line with what many saavy scouts already have said - he's peaked in the college game and doesn't have the ceiling to be an everydown DE in the NFL...

Reuben Foster to hold meeting with teams to explain incident - NFL.com

Reuben Foster apologizes, says he’ll discuss incident with teams before Alabama’s pro day | ProFootballTalk

Reuben Foster comments on NFL combine incident | AL.com

What I don't like about this opportunity to speak with him about the incident is that teams really won't have that much one on one with him as they would have had at the combine and the whole idea about the combine visits is to get a guy out of his element, make him uncomfortable and see how he reacts; meeting with teams in the Bama Linebackers Room is hardly out of his comfortzone...

I thought I would be more locked in on a pic for #11 or want to move up and grab someone that we just can't miss on after watching the combine. I don't know still. Except for Haason Reddick, LB, Temple - Saints better do their homework on this guy becase damn he looked good.

FWIW, I can forgive Reuben for his untimely mistake/outburst and if he is there at #11 I'd still select him. He is a play maker. We're short of those defensively in New Orleans.

Agreed. But he'd better leave that "Do you know who I am?" Bull**** in the Alabama Linebackers Room...

Hmm... King and Hooker aren't running the 40, Hooker's surgery is a little worrisome for such a high pick...

Like Adoree' Jackson more than Sidney Jones especially as Jackson can help in the return game...

Jackson could come in at the slot corner to start...

I will not knock Sidney Jones coverage skills one bit. I will point out the limited ability he has in coming up in run support.

Exactly, and at 186 lbs, he'll be much like Keenan Lewis, feisty in coverage, but a liability in run support and with defending against large receivers in post-up situations...

Re: 2017 NFL Combine - Saints Prospects

Marlon Humphrey: 4.41 is my number tease I just can not shake in round 1. The upside appears to be there for all pro. Then again bama CB scare me.

Howard is the safest pick still IMO. You know what you are getting and upside appears there to be a perennial pro bowl player at his position more than anyone else in the draft

Adoree' Jackson with one year of dedication to CB has come so far it is scary to think how good he might become. Then there is the height issue especially in our division. Ob the flip side he solves return issues freeing up a dew rosters spots. He is also a depth addition at WR free up yet another roster spot.

Ra Howard
Rb Humphrey
R2 LB
R3 Jackson

Would be a nice start to a draft

Jamal Adams is going before Malik Hooker if for no other reason than healthy, ready to go...

If we somehow ended up in the Top 8, you gotta take the Tiger, Sean

Re: 2017 NFL Combine - Saints Prospects

This really is a draft you have 2 top 15/20 picks.

Theres no way id be trading up with the roster needs we have

Campbell amd Gilmore would be great FA pick ups but both would be costing you 26ml a year betweem then snd even with creative accountancy being a Loomis strong point thats slot of cap space when your think thats nearly 60ml of cap space for them plus Jordan and Brees.

There is alot of talent around in FA and the draft if the front office is clever. The sort that could put this team from 7-9 to 11-5 quite quickly.

Id seriously be looking at deals for Vaccaro. I dont think he will ever be a true fit at SS and if a 2nd rounder was offered

Jamaal just looks like he is "NFL ready". Smart, aggressive & plays under control. I think he will become the truth at the next level.

I would love that pick honestly. If we come away with either him or Foster I'd be ecstatic.

I would love to replace Vaccarro with a true SS that can be used as a gadget player at time. Vaccarro has trade value to certain teams and I think his value will never be higher for us right now.

Re: 2017 NFL Combine - Saints Prospects

To me this years scouting combine was extremely informative. I learned about the players and what the drills accomplished for the evaluators. I looked at the drills a little differently this year and tried to follow a large group of players that our members have expressed an interest in. There is talent to be had at #11 without trading up......trading down is even more appealing after looking at all the talent from the combine.

Biggest question mark about UCLA CB Fabian Moreau was his speed, no way he lasts past the third round now...

Lattimore is definitely the top corner with that speed if his medicals check out...

Re: 2017 NFL Combine - Saints Prospects

Tre' White may have gotten into the first round now with his 4.47sec 40 yd dash

Florida CB Jalen Tabor just ran an awful, alarming 4.62sec 40yd dash; there was discussion that he'd be the first CB taken...Now, not so much...

No wonder the Saints are trying to move Cooks. We could use the extra picks and get that defense in order. Some of these prospects are day 1 starters.
