Payton had him playing 25 yards downfield. It's not entirely Byrd's fault, he chased the money like an aging player would and Payton was dumb enough to pay someone 56 mil to use him entirely incorrectly.
It's always been Payton and so far this offseason Payton is acting like he's a power coach and a BB wannabe yet again.

I thought he played well enough later in the season to stay on since he knew the system. Apparently he isn't worth the money to the Saints. Vonn Bell needs to beast it up and Kenny needs to stay off the Adderol.
