Loomis Bumps Into Gem?
ownersbssession.com reports that yesterday before the NFL Owners Meetings started Saints GM Mickey Loomis might have outsmarted the other organizations again by getting a headstart while in Maui. Apparently, Loomis was out early for his morning Mai Tai's. He saw a huge figure carrying out a giagantic load of chairs and umbrellas to the beachfront. He struck up a conversation and it didn't take long before he was negotiating a contract. Meet Fa'afetai Fuefuefai va'a, a 5'10", 411 lb. Samoan that Loomis believes could be the answer at defensive tackle and stopping the run. He describes Fuefuefai va'a as a diamond in the rough. Only 20 years old, he has played as the defensive line for the Kehei Key Karriers of the Wowie Maui Football League the past six years. Though not inked yet the two seemed to hit it off. Loomis secured his services through the hotel removing him from umbrella detail to delivering Mai Tai's directly to him. Fuefuefai va'a said, "It like dream come true. I no know if I can do all Mr. Loomis say but I think i can from what he say."
