He would be a good backup at 31 but if the Patriots didn't use him every down we shouldn't either.

He saw spot duty in an active rotating. The Pats cashed in on his ability to make big plays at keys times in a game.

I'll just be the one to say it... Why would he want to sign with us? He's at a point where he doesn't need to prove himself and he can sign with Super Bowl contenders who are just one piece away.

Not sure there's any gas left in that tank. His glory days are behind him. I'd rather give a spot to a hungry youngster.
