I'm simply saying that Cooks was worth more than what the trade entailed, we shouldn't have had to send them a 4th rounder because Cooks was worth more than the 32nd pick and a 3rd rounder.

While I agree that I didn't like sending the add'l pick, it's done...

Just wish there was more sanity and appreciation for draft picks by this club...

It was the only way to make the deal. I'm sure they would have rather not done it, but it was necessary. You can't logically blame them. The market sets the price and obviously no one else would offer any better. A player is only worth what the market bears. That is simple economics. The worth that you or I see is irrelevant.

I wish more people knew this. I been saying this and I get blased for it.

Some people seem to think we should get Starting QB value for a Deep threat WR who comes in on certain downs. The math doesn't make sense.

When you let players under contract to dictate a trade you're bound to be short change. If he wanted out so bad I would've at least asked him to move back that roster payment or I would've threatened to trade him to the Browns. I don't understand why they didn't reach out to the Browns in the first place

I assuming they didn't cause their weren't any mentions of trade with the Browns. I am not going to assume they did have discussions with the Browns when they're no mentions of the Browns. You can't one day say you're not trading him then weeks later say it will take a lot for us to consider trading and expect teams to come to you with the best offer. Do you think that is what the Texans did wait on Browns to call or do you think Browns call them?

If the Saints were so badly fleeced why did none of the other 30 teams offer a better trade

From all the reports the Titans were not giving up pick 18 unless they got our round 2

The Eagles offered Jenkins and a 3+4 and preferred to buy players on one year deal

The Browns have every draft pick under the sun and no WR yet no reports of an offer

Teams were not knocking down the door for Cook so they took the best offer on the table which is his worth
