I would certainly trade the 32nd 1st rounder for Rhodes in a heartbeat. Not so sure about Butler, since I don't really watch the Patriots play. |

Re: Film Study: If Saints Trade for Malcolm Butler, What Are They Getting?
The market for cornerbacks has not corrected since the landmark Darrelle Revis deal - last of the true shutdown CBs...
Butler has played extremely well within the Patiots' scheme and is deservedly justified a healthy contract... But this is the thing - Are we going to commit $13 mil/annum to a proven cornerback, though not a shutdown cornerback? The premium in this league will always be the quarterback; and once proven, their annual salarys balloon over the $20mil/annum QB Mendoza line... But is a good CB justified of over $13 mil/annum when the salary cap has to be spread out over 53 players (well top 51)? Again, keep in mind you don't get shutdown services with that figure. And also factor you've got big question marks opposite Cam Jordan on the defensive line at weakside DE and outside linebacker. Not to mention starting Tight End, Free Safety and risky signing at Right Guard... I'd rather have more chances in the draft and select younger, faster, stronger players for my defense... |

Dont know what your getting at about a starting TE.
Fleener has just put up nearly 1700 yards and over 10 TDs last season* * This may have been my last season on Madden |
Re: Film Study: If Saints Trade for Malcolm Butler, What Are They Getting?
I don't know what I would give up until I know the price he wants.
I want both our first rounders to be used by us in the draft. I like that maybe we can package something to even move up and snag the RB before Panthers get him because I don't want to have to deal with stopping that guy in our division. |
