Have you read any of the butler threads at all? Butler is a restricted free agent. It's not as easy as just signing him when he visits. The Saints couldn't sign Butler until his tender was set by the Patriots, he isn't signed by the pats yet and we have to be careful and work out a trade that works for both teams.
I personally hope we keep both 1st round picks. |

Yet we were not happy when we traded Cooks for the last pick in the first round. Now, we're gonna trade Cooks for another system player(we have already seen the history Browner, Gay, Hicks, that saints guy that won the sb with pats).

So in short, Cooks needed to be moved immediately, while Butler could not, and still cannot, be moved until he signs. So that's why your proposal cannot be done. BTW overrated or underrated, Butler is going to want $12 million+ money to come here. That's overpriced. So I agree that a pass is warranted. SFIAH |

The Patriots can have this years third and next years fourth or fifth. That's it! If not, then we're drafting two corners in the first two or three rounds.
