If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
Your name wouldn\'t happen to be Dale Carnegie, would it? [Edited on 23/3/2005 by BlackandBlue] |

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
Ward - 2001-2005 Total Receptions: 381 Total Yards: 4,499 Total TDs: 30 Total 20+: 65 Total 40+: 6 Total Compensation: $5.831 Million Horn - 2001-2005 Total Receptions: 383 Total Yards: 4,949 Total TDs: 37 Total 20+: 74 Total 40+: 19 Total Compensation: $3.6 Million So, b/c Horn has 500 more yards on 2 more catches, 9 more 20+ yard gains, and 13 more 40+ yard gains... and 7 more TDs, does that mean he\'s not only more productive, but also more explosive than Ward... yet he\'s made more than $2 million less over the last 4 years. Yeah - that makes perfect sense. I guess it\'s the system right. The Saints system allows for more big plays than Pittsburgh\'s over the last 4 years right? LOL. Got any other well thought out ideas? |

WhoDat, you don\'t think Horn is better than Ward do you?
Putting all the stupid meaningless stats aside, would you rather have Horn or Ward? |

No not Dale Carnegie. Also, people who don\'t agree with me aren\'t ignorant, just wrong. I don\'t actually mean every word I type in a post. Sometimes I\'m joking with people.

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
I would take Hines on my team any day. I would argue that he is underpaid relative to what some other guys are getting.
Again, I\'m pretty sure Jerome Pathon made 2.5 million last year. I think Joe makes a fair salary. And I think Hines as an all around player is every bit as good as Horn. Horn puts up better numbers but there aren\'t alot of balls flying around in Pitt and Hines is perfect for their system. I\'m with everyone that Joe should shut his yap about the salary thing. I just stated that I didn\'t think he was out of his mind for looking at some other salaries and getting greedy. Hey, I\'d love to make 250K.....but these guys live in a different world. I just hope they can make Horn happy with a salary that is fair to the team. I would also say that Hines is a mighty fine way to spend that amount of money and he\'ll probably have a monster year with PLax gone. |

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
I understand that He would be a huge cap hit...
But, the Offense needs him in order to survive... If we had another top 5 receiver to go to.it wouldn\'t be a problem...but, We don\'t have those things... If Horn goes now, We are screwed...Stallworth and Henderson aren\'t going to draw the Safeties enough to give us space for the RB and TE to make plays...Neither one is scary enough to draw much double coverage... And in the West Coast Offense, Your RB and TE are key...especially now since the Offense has been \'\'restructured\'\' to be more dink and dunk..and more power running... We have got to have him here until we get a Legitimate replacement, Not because He\'s the best Receiver in our clubs history, but because We have GOT to have a top WR to make our Offense work...and without him...We lack that element..and our Offesne will fail.. Unless you truley think Stallworth, or Henderson can be at the very least a top 10 WR?...I have hope for Stallworht..but, He is too unpredictable..like the AB of the WR\'s..and Henderson is a virtual unknown... |
