Interesting new mock on Bleacher Reports

R1.11 Marlon Humphreys
R1.32 Zach Cunningham
R2. 11 Taco Charlton

Id be amazed if he was on tbe board in R2 but id be happy with that draft even with concerns over Humphreys

This is such a deep draft, you can take a rookie on Day 2 or 3 who's not ready to start and stack 'em behind Alex Okafor...

That's why the Okafor signing is so significant - we can truly take the BPA in this draft, and as deep as it is, we can afford to wait till pick no. 32 or Day 2...

Another thing, I don't believe CB is as pressing as the press and some here believe; we didn't have our defensive line signed and in place till Week 1, and even then, our underrated NT tore his pectoral in Week 2...

And one thing that is flying under everyone's radar except opposing coaches in the NFC south - the hirings of Mike Nolan and Ryan Nielsen are gonna pay huge dividends with the underrated talent we already have...

Heath Evans mentioned that he and Payton were hanging out watching tape of Alvin Kamara together... Kamara's gonna get some strong consideration in round 2 if we don't address the need earlier.

Imagine Cam Jordan playing across from Cam Jordan...

You have to read the article, but Malik McDowell is compared to Cam Jordan...

McDowell has been underated this entire draft if he's there in the 2nd I hope we pull the trigger. I've wanted him from the start. Peppers, Cunningham, and McDowell would be at the top of my wish list.

Malik McDowell has big character concerns and doesn't really try on the field.

NFL team says Malik McDowell's interview was combine's worst

Michigan State interior pass rusher Malik McDowell entered the NFL Combine as one of event's most polarizing prospects and exits as a plyer who didn't leave a great impression with several teams, according to Yahoo Sports.
“Worst interview we did," one NFL team told Yahoo Sports' Eric Edholm.
“Awful interview. Awful," another reportedly said.

NFL Network draft analyst: 'No effort' from MSU's Malik McDowell

“Just no effort,” Jeremiah said on a conference call Wednesday. “To me, he’s a tough one. All the ability in the world – he’s got as much upside as any defensive linemen in the draft because you see him dominate at times. He just isn’t consistent.”

I'm just wondering why many are overlooking what the team already has?

I can buy that. But you don't draft for depth at the top of the draft. Or bring in a high dollar free agents for depth. The talk is about Fournette, Peterson, and Blount. Those are running backs when you're looking to replace your current running back, not for depth.

Mixon may be a bargain at 103. But I don't think he'll be there at the end of the 3rd.

But during the Payton tenure the running back position has been productive with undrafted free agents such as Thomas, Ivory, and Robinson and signed free agents like Hightower and Bell. Except for Ingram, the Saints running game has been a committee of somewhat interchangable players from a collection of backgrounds.

But Ingram is the guy. Period. Adding depth is fine. But I'm frustrated with the discussion of guys who seem to be targeting Ingram as a replacement.

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
