The Miami suggestion is worse. That they automatically rotate every 4 years between Miami and a west coast location --- and inbetween years other cities could get them. That the 2 rotational sites would build stuff around the dome including a superbowl museum etc. Talk about arrogance.
But you are right ---we are moving ourselves right out of more superbowls -- and unfortunately there goes one of the main arguments for giving money to Benson -- because it brings in adertising and revenue etc. We are in a world of hurt now. I do think that if we renovate the Dome and sign a long term deal we will still be in the running but it appears to me that the NFL wants reward cities that build new stadiums |

I guess technically it is a way for cities that build new stadiums to get some of their money back by having an event like that, but ti screws great Superbowl cities like New Orleans. Hopefully a renovated dome is enough to change that, because if not, Benson has all the backing he needs from the NFL to play hard ball.
