I'm not going to say that Sherman definitely gets traded, but you aren't really correct in calling this media hype. Because I just heard today that Seattle's GM said the trade talk about Sherman "is real".

Now, when you consider that most GM's and coaches will tell you a report is NOT real, even if it IS real, it's pretty telling that the GM in this case is not denying anything, and comes right out and confirms the talk is real.

So, while you are poo pooing a report, as usual, you might want to check a little more into it first.

Talk about playing chicken! I'm with Saint Thomas on this one. I'm not sure he has enough left in the tank to be worth it. I can't see the Hawks trying to trade him if he did.

I am stuck on "we building a defense". So the answer is no thank you we are not at the point were a huge contract on defense will get us a ring

people really do not study what the pats do in between getting rings.

I'd give up the our late 1st rounder or a 2nd round pick for Sherman. He's the kind of the guy this locker room needs. Loud and in your face. Sean Payton wants to play like Seattle. Cool. Get their best corner.

There are a couple of articles over on SI.com. One of them had some great points about Richard's growing older and what he's no longer bringing to the field with him. I was going to post up the links except, 1. They were in Penis King's column and 2. One of them began by talking about Tony Choke Romo's "legacy" (really?). They're real easy to find however.

They also interviewed Shermans brother and he was saying it would be a win win situation. I think there is a good chance that they trade him but I wouldn't break the bank for a almost 30 year old corner. I think we have above average corners we just need health and a pass rush.

I'm not saying that NOTHING has been said, I'm saying that any talk of actual demands for specific picks and such are media fabricated. I don't doubt that Seattle is open to inquiries about all of their players, as should every franchise be at this time of the year. It is when these speculations about what pick or picks would be needed become taken as actual demands that I blame media hype.

As for Schneider's comment, of course he is going to play along, and most likely embellish. It gives the team more leverage in dealings with Sherman.
