As for Schneider's comment, of course he is going to play along, and most likely embellish. It gives the team more leverage in dealings with Sherman. |

Meaning you aren't just talking about demands, you're talking about the likelihood of trading him, period. You never miss a chance to call a report false, without having any knowledge yourself, and then call people out for entertaining whatever the report is about. It'd be one thing if it were some fan site just blowing smoke and we were all making a big deal out of it. But that isn't the case here. And no, Seattle's GM isn't "playing along". Did you miss the part where I said that most GM's will deny a report even if it is true? Because as long as that guy is still on your team, you don't want to make the situation any more tense than it already is, in case you end up keeping that player. Also, contrary to your opinion, it does not give the team more leverage. Teams can have internal conversations with one another about players. Talking about it publicly doesn't help them and, as I said, only serves to sour the relationship with the player. Which, if the Seahawks are planning on trying to extend Sherman at a discounted price, will not serve them well. Other teams can sense that, and they will get the idea that the Seahawks probably will want to trade him now rather than let a potentially disgruntled player stay on their team, possibly get hurt, and have ZERO trade value going into the last year of his contract. And all of that stands to drive down his current trade value, due to the 'hawks urgency to get whatever they can, while they can. That's a pretty good reason NOT to "play along". |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Richard Sherman....
I would rather wake up with my face stapled to the carpet. I would pull for him to blow out a knee on every play. I despise tht douche bag.

He's a quality CB, but he's annoying and a loud mouth. He gets a away with being a loud mouth because people think he's so sophisticated and intelligent. No thanks. |

Are we building a defense?
or Are we making a super bowl run? I am stuck on "we building a defense". So the answer is no thank you we are not at the point were a huge contract on defense will get us a ring people really do not study what the pats do in between getting rings. |

Re: Richard Sherman....
I'd give up the our late 1st rounder or a 2nd round pick for Sherman. He's the kind of the guy this locker room needs. Loud and in your face. Sean Payton wants to play like Seattle. Cool. Get their best corner.
