Final thoughts on the draft
On the eve of the draft here a some of my thoughts after a interesting off-season
.I'm quite pleased with the results of our moves in free agency even without our draft picks Not only do we have 7 picks ,we seem to be well positioned in the draft to be offered opportunities to trade back and acquire more picks. I could see some team wanting to move up @#11 and #32 . Depending on how the draft falls we have the ability to move up or down as the draft develops. It would seem that there is good depth at our positions of need. Anyone on this board knows that opinion varies greatly on who we should pick My confidence is high that we will come away from the draft with several players who will upgrade our team. It's looks as if the draft is going to be very interesting and I can't wait.! Day one we should have two new staters. That could easily be the tipping point to improve our defense enough to win three more games. That gets us into the playoffs. |

Re: Final thoughts on the draft
All we need is a couple of B defenders. That's honestly all I am hoping for and likely all we get if we are lucky. Anything else we hit pay dirt. Improve the D and we are getting in the playoffs. We have a good RB and a top ten WR on the other side and a formidable OL.

Re: Final thoughts on the draft
I have a funny feeling Payton and co. are eyeing Clemson WR Wiliams at #11. The moving of Cooks sets it up nicely and I can see the Saints taking the top WR at 11 in a defensive year the best value. I'm fairly impressed by Williams as well, it wouldn't be the worst move.
Or we could begin the night with a Hooker and end things with a Taco |

Re: Final thoughts on the draft
In an amazing, totally unexpected move the Saints draft in the eleventh pick of 2017...
me! When asked, Payton said it was the easiest way to get me to stop bugging him for a free jersey with my name on it. |

Re: Final thoughts on the draft
Everyone will be disappointed because we ended up taking Charles Harris at 11.
