CBMARSHON LATTIMOREOHIO ST. BIG TEN
6.52 40 4.36 SEC Top Performer Vert 38.5 INCH Top Performer Broad 132.0 INCH Top PerformerBLUE STAR = COMBINE TOP PERFORMER 6'0" HEIGHT 31 1/4" ARM LENGTH 193LBS. WEIGHT 8 7/8" HANDS OVERVIEW You could say Lattimore was hamstrung by injuries during his first couple of seasons with the Buckeyes. His hamstrings gave him so much trouble that he eventually had surgery, causing him to miss his freshman year. Though he played in seven games in 2015 (five tackles), he couldn't finish the season due to the chronic issue coming up again. Finally healthy for his redshirt sophomore campaign in 2016, he won a starting job and made the plays on the field that coaches hoped he would. The first-team All-Big Ten pick had four interceptions and nine pass breakups in his first full year with the team. ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Uber-athlete. Parks under receiver's chin at line of scrimmage. Uses disruptive inside hand to slow the release and can punch out of his pedal. Patient from his press, utilizing well-timed opening to match the receiver. Plays with explosive hip flip that jump-starts him into top speed when forced to turn and run. Has balance and footwork to remain in phase with target throughout the route. Has electric, flat-footed closing burst. Can shadow a nine route from release to completion. Has twitch to drive hard toward the throw from his lateral shuffle. Plays with plus instincts. Targeted 35 times this season and credited with 14 passes defensed, including four interceptions. Has burst and instincts to make plays from any coverage asked of him. Forceful open-field tackler. Works through blockers to get to both wide receiver screens and running plays. Wrap-up hitter who sees what he hits. WEAKNESSES Only one year of starting experience. Wasn't tested by high-end receiving talent very often. Will be much tougher to consistently slow NFL receivers with jam and might have to learn to play some off coverage. Showed slight transition hitch when matched up against in inside release. Will read receiver's eyes to assess ball-timing down the field rather than getting his head around early. Film shows infrequent issues recovering against speed merchants. DRAFT PROJECTION Round 1 SOURCES TELL US "I've studied the top cornerbacks coming out and he's the best I've seen. He's so athletic that he can just post up under the receiver's chin and shadow him all over the field. And he's tough, too. He'll be one of the top cornerbacks pretty quickly." -- Pro personnel director for AFC team NFL COMPARISON Vontae Davis BOTTOM LINE Average-sized, one-year starter with explosive athleticism and a loaded tool box. He has the feet, hips and agility to be a lockdown cornerback and the ball skills to make teams pay for looking in his direction. His lack of experience could show up early, but he has the confidence and competitive nature that should help him overcome those issues. He has the ability to become a Pro Bowl cornerback early in his career. -Lance Zierlein |

Goddamnit. Watch Foster go within the next couple of picks now... f***ing cornerback. We have 800 DB's on the roster already.
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
Hamstring issues were in 2015
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
we may still get Foster at 32 or I would still love to see Moreau of Watson if he falls.

Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
HEY.......... WE HAVE ADRIAN PETERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
So.......who at #32?
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
played 20 games and started 12 but he's a beast and hammies were 2 years ago. with all the CB's he won't have a lot of pressure on him so he'll be fine and our secondary will be top 15 as will the offense

Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
ESPN is so stupid..... tongue cancer.... COME ON MAN, TALK FOOTBALL
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion

Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
WTF? ESPN is telling a story about tongue cancer?!?
Somebody tell Suzy Kolber that Joe Namath is waiting in the limo... |
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
I'm happy with the pick. Addressed an area that needed upgraded with a solid selection. I was really actually good with CB, DE or LB. And Lattimore was rated pretty high on most boards.
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
This was a steal at 11, great pick and arguably the 2nd best player in the draft.
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
He has hamstring issues as a freshaman and in 2015 he played 13 games last year. Hamstring issues are common as a young athlete is growing
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
Well, the Texans just assured mediocrity for another 3 or so years :)
... oh, and a Mil Mascaras sighting! LOL |
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
get the hot tub ready ...... IR bound.
still on the board Jonathan Allen Jamal Adams Malik Hooker O.J. Howard then the texans trade up! ..... |
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
ESPN would try to make a feel good story out of two cockroaches running around a kitchen in Compton. UNREAL!
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
There should be good edge rusher or stud LB at#32
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
Great pick by the Texans. This is all they needed. He's better than every QB on that roster from Day 1.
|
Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion
Love the pick !!!!! Who dat !!!!
