Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Seriously, all the good DEs are already off the board? I don't think so. Still want to smack anyone having us taking a QB in the first five rounds. Why would we draft another DB before addressing some other areas ...

No, I don't think all the best DEs are off the board yet; point of fact, I know not all the best DEs are off the board...

Only problem was they kept the freaks, loud mouths, and social agenda types...

So this should pretty much speed up the drive off the cliff for them...

Hoping for a DE/DT, a LB, and maybe Baby Gronk.

Re: Saints NFL 2017 Draft Days In Game Discussion

Options I like for the Second Round:

DE Malik McDowell, Michigan St
CB Chidobe Awuzie, Colorado
RG Forrest Lamp, Western Kentucky
TE Adam Shaheen, Ashland
SS Obi Melifonwu, UConn
DE Jordan Willis, Kansas St
SS Josh Jones, NC State
LG Dan Feeney, Indiana
DE Tarell Basham, Ohio
DE Trey Hendrickson, Florida Atlantic

QB David Webb will probably go in the second because of the way this crazy ass draft is going...

2017 NFL Draft: 14 players to watch when the Saints pick on Day 2 | NOLA.com

LB Zach Cunningham, Vanderbilt

He could be the Saints’ weakside linebacker of the future. He earned first-team All-American honors in 2016 with 125 total tackles, including 16½ tackles for a loss.

OLB Tyrus Bowser, Houston

This would be like draft Vic Beasley on the size side with Bowser at 6-3 and 247 pounds. He tallied 8½ sacks in eight games in 2016. Why did he miss time last season? His teammate punched him breaking in bone in his face.

You've got rootin' for Shaheen now JP. Any chance he falls into the third?
