I have a feeling that Vacarro is going to be like Ingram, in that it will take five years for Vaccaro to finally have an impact and the Saints FO will have to extend him to recoup the investment...

Was really excited when we replaced Harper at SS thinking we now had someone who could not only move into the box and stuff the run and blitz the passer but wouldn't be a liability in pass coverage like Harper...And Vaccaro hasn't then that much better in coverage...

If I'm the Saints, I wait and see what he does this season, then pull the trigger...

Problem for the Saints D has been too much passer time (pass rush) and the Deep Safety (Byrd); rarely the CBs last season...

Unfortunately our FO did not think so. Cam Jordan even said he wanted the saints to draft two corners after the season.

I think all of them will emerge since their will not be pressure on anyone of them to handle all of it by themselves!

I'm on the fence with this one. KV is a difficult player for me to evaluate objectively & if you look back over the last few seasons, he hasn't had a boatload of talent surrounding him on D ... a couple of those defenses were flat out terrible.

Edit - didn't mean to derail/high jack the OP's thread with KV talk.

Can't wait to see this cat @ t/c (Marcus Williams). I really think he can become the next great center fielder at the FS position.

Plus he's had to try to learn to tackle using some other part of his body than his head...

Lattimore, Breaux, Williams, Moore, and Maulet. Crawley if one of those goes down.

Maulet is the one player that could make Swann and/or Harris expendable. I know it's super early but his (Maulet) name came up more than a few times during OTA's. Maybe we have a potential Jabari Greer 2.0 (UDFA) ...

Coach Aaron Glenn definitely has some talent to work with --> Can't wait !
