If it turns out Fairley is done, and the Saints realize it, they haven't rushed out to sign another DT... So that means they must be feeling pretty good about their options including Zimmer, who's an athletic freak, just transitioning from Div III football... |

The final decision will be Fairley's, not the Saints or the doctors. He is the one that needs to weigh the risks, as he has been doing his entire playing career. That's why I am expecting him to come back. Players want to play and Fairley loves being with the Saints, his favorite team growing up.
