New Orleans quarterback coach Turk Schonert and Jacksonville quarterbacks coach Ken Anderson were among the scouts watching. The Giants and Dolphins also sent representatives.

He threw to two wide receivers: Adam Herzing, who led NFL Europe in receiving last year and currently is with the Detroit Lions, and Rod Miller, who is eligible for the draft after playing at Florida A&M.

McPherson (6-3 1/8, 211) ran his 40s in the mid-4.5 range. (He ran one against the wind, and one with the wind.) Near the end of his position drills, he threw a flat-footed pass 72 yards. He has visits with the Ravens and Rams scheduled.
