Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

We'd have a better chance trading a block of cheese.

Cadet is in the heaviest pass system in the league and makes little to no impact.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Cadet is better than he gets credit; able to contribute in both the run, passing game, return game, and special teams...

If the Pats weren't so stacked, I'd bet they'd come calling as well; may still just to keep him from the J-E-T-S...

And if he gets a better opportunity out of our conference and we get a draft pick, tell me then why anyone would rag on him?!?

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Dude Cadet is not bad at all. Kamara made him expendable.

But we may be able to get an 11th round pick.

work a deal for Sheldon Richardson

If we could get a draft pick that would be great. We have plenty backs and as mentioned, Kamara made him expendable.

7th rounder, a steak from Peter Lugers and Rueben from Carnegie Deli.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Not even the Jets would be dumb enough to trade a pick for Cadet.

lmao, so true, if we get anything we are geniuses

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

He plays every ST unit and is a quality scat back option. It's likely he's a throw in on a bigger trade, and at least worth a conditional 6th or 7th rounder.
I just don't understand the hate.

Or Muhammad Wilkerson. If Nick is forced to retire, this trade scenario will get interesting.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

He's no superstar but he is consistent when called on. I don't get the hate either but I also don't get why he was signed to anything longer than a year either.

spkb25 06-10-2017 07:51 PM

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

There is literally no hate on this thread. There is the realization that cadet's trade value is next to nil. If we get something I think it is utterly fabulous, but wouldn't expect it.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Another screw up by the front office. Who signs a longer than 1 year deal with a glorified special teams player? Oh, that would be us....meh. Loomis used the Saints for on the job training is all I can say. Granted, this is not a lot of coin but still, why?

because we wouldn't be the team that set the world record in dead money without such brilliance lol

Cap hit is only $80K. $615K in cap savings if traded or cut. He signed his one year deal BEFORE (March 15th) the Saints knew they were going to be drafting Kamara. That happens all the time with every club in the NFL.

Yeah, but it is fun to piss off the people who will discuss the negatives of a certain move until the Saints make said move and then they about face and talk about how genius they are.

The jets are having a cap clearing fire sale.

Cap hit - Dead
$8,069,000 $8,069,000

Sheldon Richardson is not so crazy. Pay him one year and feel out his demands for a new contract.

Will the saints for once play the comp pick game and let him walk in 2018?
without this mind set the saints would be crazy to get cap strapped signing him.

His 2016: The word fiasco comes to mind when we talk about Richardson’s fourth season in the league. It started with a suspension stemming from his 2015 arrest in Missouri. It also included an embarrassing Snapchat video and him openly bashing a teammate in public

http://www.ganggreennation.com/2017/...ugh-the-summer

Expect the Jets to trade Sheldon, but don't be surprised if the compensation we receive is a lot lower than expected.

We've watched Sheldon develop over the first three years of his career as a Jet, this year his play has fallen off a cliff. I know that he's found himself out of position at points this year, but 44 tackles and 1.5 sacks through 3/4 of the season for a man of his talent? That's unacceptable.

Eric Decker?

Albert Breer‏Verified account @AlbertBreer

Per sources, Jets have had trade talks with the Ravens and others on Eric Decker. Decker remains on the Jets roster, per the league wire.

The Jets informed Decker on Wednesday that if they weren’t able to facilitate a trade with another team in the coming days they would release him.

Report: Jets have discussed Eric Decker trade with Ravens | Yardbarker.com

Decker has two years left on his contract.

Cap hit - Dead
$8,750,000 $3,000,000

This hit might be an issue depending on the conditions

But in
$9,000,000 $1,500,000
not a bad causality candidate in 2019

He is one of the best slot WR in the NFL

The jets also have the cut option
Potential Out: 2017, 3 yr, $21,526,693; $3,000,000 dead cap

Cadet is a wasted roster spot. I would be grateful if we got the vending machines restocked for a year in return for cadet.

Sheldon was playing linebacker as well, so take those critiques with a grain of salt.

On paper I see Mark, AD, Kuhn, Lasco & Kamara as my #5 RB's. So at this point, getting anything from Cadet will be a bonus (compensatory pick, maybe). After the dust has settled, I could see the Jets trade for a pick and not necessarily a player.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

I can't see getting anything. A team will wait for him to be cut and he might not catch on then. Nothing special about his play and never has been.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

If we can get a bag of peanuts and half used roll of duct tape for him I will be impressed.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

it's not that he is worthless, but he certainly isn't worth much. Maybe we get a conditional 7th. Or maybe NY has a reserve OL or WR that could give us some depth

...and then there's Murphy as well.

At this point, Murphy is auditioning for other teams as well...

Pick up another late pick and we can get a jump on priority rookie free agents in the late rounds...

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

Cadet has hit his ceiling but he knows the complex offense which is why we brought him back. Every time he's on the field l feel like we are only playing with ten men. We can do better. Kamara made him expendable as has been stated. Good luck getting any compendation.

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

It seemed like when he was in the game it was obvious he was getting ball, it was frustrating because it felt like SP was forcing the ball to the 10th best option on the team

Re: Travaris Cadet on the Trade Block

The Jets are about to release Erick Decker..hell...trade Cadet for Decker. Win win.
