Factor in that he was forced to pass into tiny windows frequently because of the defensive failures and opposing defenses expecting the pass and it is even more amazing.

His number of interceptions would only be disturbing if you didn't understand the metrics involved.
I understand that if you have a lot of turnovers you won't be going to the playoffs. If that number does not come down we are spinning wheels here. I'm not bashing him either just saying that some of the throws are not needed.

No we aren't spinning wheels. As long as the attempts are up so will be the picks. That is nothing on Brees. It is all on the style of play. Brees has never come close to being a reason for the Saints to NOT make the playoffs. Look across the line.

Statistics are meaningless when used out of context.

This type of question is something I question this board on? It's better to ask questions on this than be negative or point out serious facts?

Using the Hangover gingle, Drew Brees is, " the best QB any Saints could ever have, he is the best QB any Saints fan could ever have".

I get that and also agree with it 100%! The turnovers though will have to come down to get into the second season. No way we are going to that level with 17 plus turnovers. Not going to happen even if he throws for 6K yards.

Bullcrap. Brees is not the problem at all. None of the greatest QB's of all times could avoid turnovers when having to force the ball. Don't you get it? Study the history of the NFL. Do some actual research.

His turnovers are low compared to others forced to throw as much. Can't you understand that simple concept?

Re: Jimmy Garoppolo Saint?

All I know is that there's gonna be some really disappointed fans when Drew hangs up the cleats and his replacement is playing. This team and fan base is very very fortunate to have a QB of his caliber. So much so that reality will come crashing down when we have someone else throwing the ball. Unfortunately, our fan base has become so spoiled with having a HOF QB, that they don't realize how fortunate they really are.

When someone else is throwing that ball, you better hope he's half as good. I can tell you this, without Drew, the Saints win one or two games last year. That's it. He's a warrior and he carries the team. A decent defense and this team goes to the playoffs every year.

I don't see this materializing however, I do believe our next QB is already playing in the NFL.
