Fairly sound QB although nobody has had any success with Pat QB castoffs. They seem to work in a system but we have a system that is built around that position so why not?

I think Garoppolo would be a little old in the tooth by the time Brees retires.

26? Brees was about the same age. Under that reasoning we pass on Brees and that is without a severe unproven shoulder injury.

Brees may be five or six years from retiring. Garappolo hasn't proven crap. Where will he be when Brees retires? My money is on Brees being the starting Saint QB after Garappolo gets cut.

Exactly. But he's assuming brees will be here for 5 more years.
