Starting tight end Coby Fleener headlines a group of players not observed on the practice field. Fleener has missed two straight days of work for unknown reasons.

Anthony has missed three straight days of practice, but it is unclear as to what is keeping him from the field.

Wow.

Is Ginn using T.O.'s urine? Worked pretty well for him.

As we transition from Training Camp to full on Preseason, I gotta say, this is the type of camp and competition the team has needed...

That West Virginia dalliance of Sean Payton's really set this team back a few seasons...

We're the Saints, hot, humid is what makes a mean, tough, nasty team...

The Junction Boys made for a good movie. Modern medical science now shows it's the absolutely worst conditions for an athlete to train in. Altitude and ideal weather best (Seahawks, Pats, Denver, 49ers).

Major, I don't discount the science, but it's the mental toughness that's gained...

Those teams have been better because they've made better personnel decisions, draft management...

Look at what happened to the 49ers when one man had all the control...

Belichick may be running the show, but he's been wise to put personnel people he listens and trusts...

Payton, till very recently, had to feel he was pushing all the buttons, pulling all the levers...

that's the difference between us and them...
