Unfortunately I think we may have to. Substitute Jones, Evans, Jackson, or Benjamin for Thomas and it gets pretty easy to see why it's important to hold our DBs accountable against excellent or elite receivers.

BahahahHahahah hahahah, they don't run 1 on 1 drills during games. Laughing hard

Of course 1-1 drills are not run during a game. However, press man coverage is just about as close as you can get in a game. If you review the tape, you can see that the drill simulates exactly that.

I can guarantee you that you won't be laughing if a similar situation occurs in the game and one of our DBs gets beaten that badly.

It happens. We will do it to other teams and have our turn to laugh

If Allen can come up with an effective pass rush & two solid corners, there are endless possibilities & we become unpredictable.

Side note - Crawley is ok at the #4 spot & he is still developing. If (boldly noted) our other corners remain somewhat healthy in 2017, it will be refreshing to know that your #4 corner back has already locked down Julio Jones under the lights.

Just the other day I was thinking about Breaux's trouble staying healthy and how the team might start to doubt being able to rely on him in his current role. It could be a situation where he's better off in a reserve role and if that's the case then he'd be absolutely top-notch depth.

Relating to what you said about Crawley, the two of them would be a phenomenal duo backing up Williams and Lattimore.

I can't see that the drill does any thing of the sort. The idea is definitely meant to improve route running and coverage skills, but there's no rush, no safety over the top etc.

I'm not going to fault Ken for having a tough time again at Mike in one on ones.

I never thought Breaux was all that. Good story and had flashes but lots of penalties and gave up his share. I think most of the love for him is based on potential.
Pair that with injury problems and I think he's just good depth as you said. Lattimore is no guarantee either. He should be, but he is going to have his struggles especially being injured so early in camp.

As long as he is better than Alex Molden which is not that high of a bar. Breux can get it done. If those two are on the field it should be enough.
