Didn't they know PJ was going to miss his first season when they drafted him? Or did he sustain it after he was drafted?

No. but he missed the entire second as well. lol.

I don't do the whole apologist thing, I leave that to the other pathetics on the board. At the end of the day he and PJ were hurt and PJ missed way more time.

But hope 3rd year is the charm cause the dude has skills and pj, breaux, and lat could be a top cb tandem in the league

With PJ, he was out, not taking up snaps in practice or a roster spot...

Ellerbe was always this will he or won't he in a week-to-week situation...

That is a significant difference in the development & advancement of the club...

There's not other than age. PJ missed all but 1.5 games in 2 years. Again, I am not disagreeing with the move, I am just being honest. It is not all about availability. Same was said about KL. Again, PJ has played 1.5 games out of 32. You do the math

PJ wasn't available for very tangible reasons. With Ellerbe it was multiple "minor" issues that were constantly creeping up.
