Carlos Rogers
CB, Auburn

Closing speed: Has good -- but not elite Full analysis

ROUND 2
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
8 (40) Odell Thurman ILB Georgia (from Washington)
The Saints' run defense is awful. The team has failed at acquiring a quality middle linebacker for years but will try again with Thurman. He is tough and shows good instincts.

ROUND 3
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
18 (82) Kay-Jay Harris RB W.Va.

ROUND 4
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
17 (118) Derek Anderson QB Oregon St.

ROUND 5
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
16 (152) Brandon Browner CB Oregon St.

ROUND 6
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
19 (193) David McMillan DE Kansas

ROUND 7
Pick Projected Player Pos. School
18 (232) Chris Jones WR Jackson St.
I hate this--first-I'd like to see castillo (one of the premier NT in the draft) in the first two rounds. second..)

I like a LB in the second-but would take Ruud, burnnett, then crowder before thurman..

I don't think we need to add another RB...and this draft doesnt' address safety at all.
I think browner will be a complete bust...ya'lls thoughts.

I think there are several players who will be borderline stars-and many who will be solid starters.

i\'m sorta at a loss of what we go with in the first... initially, i was all about thomas davis, but with smith coming over from tampa it isn\'t the most important area to look at first.... however, we could move d. smith to corner, draft thomas davis in the first to play fs, draft burnett (tennessee), a self proclaimed saint fan, in the second and get matt jones (arkansas) in the third.... this jones guy is great and might as well get a shot at qb, after all the guy played in the SEC, not an easy conf. in college football....

one thing is for certain, we must get rid of howard\'s cap #, or we will have failed this offseason.... we will not be able to lock up our other franchise players if we don\'t trade him.... that would be a hard pill to swallow cuz i love d. howard, but you gotta do what you gotta do...

thomas davis is a strong safety or linebacker. a tweener isn\'t my fave pick in the first. we have heard indications that the fo here doesnt even consider him a first rounder so i have completely written him off whether liking or not.

i won\'t be disappointed with a trade down. philly has so many picks they can move up easy. saints 1st and 3rd for eagles #31 and #35 is a perfect value exchange.

it takes these guy some time to put these together. they cannot thoroughly address each team or keep up to date. a rb could have been a possibility until smith was added.

i\'m still holding on to some remote hope they will get a veteran lb. drafting two would not be unreasonable at all. i don\'t see anyone at #16 but there are plenty after that. i\'ll be happy if they get a couple on the first day. i just pray they dont try to outsmart the rest of the league like they did reaching for sullivan or henderson.

so much is up in the air this year as to even how the top ten will shake out that mocks are even more of a crap shoot than normal for one round muchless more.

Is this a mock draft for the Saints? A DE and RB? They could sell me on the other picks but these two?

that would absolutely ROCK!! I think burnett is going to be a steal as a linebacker-definitly flying under the radar..that would help us in every area we ahve need.
