Bringing camp up their could really help the Saints in becoming a bigger market and would help TV ratings. I think it's an excellent idea. |

About ten years ago the complaints to the station became so overwhelming that the station decided to post an online poll anytime there was a conflict thinking that the Cowboy fans would easily outnumber the Saints fans. Well, it was never close. The Saints votes dwarfed the Cowboys votes every time. The station abandoned the poll after a short period.
I have lived here in the Shreveport/Bossier area off and on since 1967 and continuously since 1981 and know the community well. There is a heavy influence by Barksdale AFB personnel that have a varied NFL mixture of support. There is also the Cowboys constituent that appear out of the woodwork when the Cowboys are actually relevant. Then there are the Saints fans that are always out there representing whether the team is 5-11 or 11-5. There are also many that claim to be fans of both. But, as you said, bringing camp up here would help swing some of those iffy ones around, but given a choice of local fans, it is clearly slanted in the favor of the Saints by a good margin. |

The emergence of Dak Prescott has also brought out a few more boys fans too.

This is true. More brand new Cowboys caps showing up. Cowboys gear around here is mostly new looking because they have either just jumped on the bandwagon or broke out stuff they had in storage since 1995. Saints gear is well worn, on the other hand since it is worn year round.

Yep. I hate the Cowboys more than most but anyone who is familiar with Dak's story ... nothing but respect for him.

Well, as much as I'd like to see the Saints consolidate the market In-State...
I think this team was well-served returning training camp to South Louisiana... |
