this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; What is going on with his situation? Thought he was a lock WR2. Ginn looked good but that one deep drop. Going to hurt us now and then no way around it....

Re: Snead?
MT is going to get the bulk of it, not by much but Snead, not sure how he is going to get more targets since he lacks the speed of Ginn. Ginn's speed creates a lot more opportunities even with the drops. End around, dumps off the line....Snead, not really his game.

Re: Snead?
Ginn is going to be frustrating to watch. He's going to drop a lot of critical passes but he will also change a game or two on return or in a clutch pass situation. I think we will see more good than bad.
Snead will be fine. He's playing for a contract. We will see what he's really all about this year. |

Re: Snead?
Snead should still be a #2 lock. I can't wait until the offense reaches the regular season and truly opens the playbook.

Re: Snead?
Well I really wonder if Snead isn't a little pissed off right now. He's played well the last two years and they didn't really reward him much by having him sign that tender. Oh well.

If it's zone expect a pass thrown to Snead down the seam (he's money here).
Endless possibilities. |

Re: Snead?
Sneed also lacked Cooks' speed but still got open. It was the same with Lance Moore. Ginn's speed will be used to spread the secondary, opening things up for Thomas, Sneed, Coleman, Kamara and friends.

Re: Snead?
Snead, Coleman, Ginn, Fuller, Lampman all contract year. No wonder why they are all trying to play lights out. Granted, Ginn is a 1 year deal but still, he is playing for another one of those. I think Snead will emerge as the #2 once things get going. Too much chemistry with Brees.
