Former Pro Bowl defensive tackle and Eagles franchise player Corey Simon has a chance to move a short drive down I-95 if he so chooses.

FOXSports.com has learned that the Ravens and Eagles have recently discussed a deal that would send former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Corey Simon to the Ravens in exchange for second and third-round draft picks over the next two years. There is, however, a huge holdup as the deal is contingent upon the Ravens working out a contract extension with Simon — no small feat. In order for the trade to happen, the Ravens have to come an agreement with Simon within the next day or two, as both teams do not want this situation to linger for weeks.

I\'m sure the Saints could get a deal done similar to this. The problem is they expect too much for Howard. A second and Dat Nguyen??? Not realistic. Yet Corey Simon might be leaving Philly for less than that.

Maybe the Saints are high-balling the Cowboys and Raiders in hopes of getting just the right deal.

That\'s all together possible, they always seem to know how to hold them when they should fold them and vice-versa. If I didn\'t know better i\'d say they were just shooting from the hip when it comes tp evaluating what they\'ve got, what they need,and the value of both.

notice it says for the next two seasons. they will get 4 picks. 2 2nd rounders and 2 3rd rounders. i heard all we were asking was a second and we couldnt get it.

Not sure that would be the smartest thing. First of all, he wants a big contract. Second, we already have 3-tech\'s in Young and Sullivan. Lastly, it would cost us picks to obtain him, along with Howard.
