Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
Yeah but several of the DE's are experienced with and have the ability to move inside. Also, 2 of those DT's are capable of kicking out to the edge. It appears to me that the defense has been deliberately built to be versatile at all 3 levels. I think traditional roles aren't going to matter much, it will truly be putting your best players on the field together.

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
According to ESPN.com, the Seahawks have landed defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson after pulling off a trade with the Jets on Friday. In return,
Seattle will send wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and a 2018 second-round draft pick to New York. The two teams will also be swapping seventh-round picks in the 2018 draft, according to ESPN. Ok that is over Brock Osweiler - 3rd string QB on the Browns Dime? $16 million dead cap hit. hate him or like him you gotta admit he pulled a sweet one in the end. I always liked him as a solid development QB Others S Bacarri Rambo CB Jumal Rolle, CB Charles Gaines CB Ron Brooks OT T.J. Clemmings DL Devon Still S Doug Middleton One to keep an eye on injured solid veteran with starting experience C/G Craig Urbik - right knee knee scoped and would be a solid pick up when healthy. He was a "likely to miss opener " and may need the full 5 weeks. so week 2 or 3 he should be good to go. Salary: $975,000 USD He is a C and a swing G that can start at all three positions and hold his own. He has played some RT also. At 31 years young he maybe the player to upgrade the teams depth issues. Temp solution to a glaring depth issue |

Shame about Mauti, he was really developing into one hell of a player. Sucks. Always liked him. Can't say I am surprised by anyone so far, except maybe McDaniel. Thought he was solid

I really though Mcdaniel made some plays, maybe they have a plan?

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
In my opinion, Al Quadin Muhammad has to make the final 53, not the practice squad. He led the NFL preseason in sacks, that's not something teams ignore and he will get snatched from us if we try to stash him on the practice squad.
At this point, I think he's atleast the same or better than Kasim Edibali was for us, he produced roughly 4 sacks a season playing spot duty, I think Muhammad plays his kind of role but does it better. |

DE (2) 94 - Cameron Jordan, 91 -Trey Hendrickson (R3, P103), 55 - Darryl Tapp DE (3) 57 - Alex Okafor, 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha, 97 - Al-Quadin Muhammad (R6, P196), 58 - Obum Gwacham At the Strongside DE, I've got Jordan with Hendrickson backing him up so he can replace Jordan when contracts come due; Tapp is versatile, but he blinked in that last game and his physical limitations were obvious now that we've accrued some talent; in fact, I expect to see some packages by season's end with Hendrickson opposite Jordan... At the Weakside DE, I'd project to keep three Okafor, Kikaha, and Muhammad. I'd keep three because neither Okafor nor Kikaha has a great health record and are unlikely to play 16 games... Okafor has more size than Kikaha, more experience than Al, so I'd expect him to start and be better against the run... Kikaha has a relentless motor as a pass rusher (probably should be playing for a 3-4 scheme team0, but will be a great change of pace... That leaves Al and Gwachum... Al's speed-spin move is already nearly impossible to block, is the best move by any of the DE on that side of the line and just needs to add more moves to move up as the starter... Gwachum also has been able to stay healthy probably because he's carrying more weight than the former WR body is really built... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
