Somebody referenced the Jags earlier. They have the young & inexperienced D, too. They completely stomped a subpar Texans O (watched it), and someone coached them & told them not to use the crutch of inexperience. They were solid at D playcalling & personnel matchups where we blew chunks at them both. We have about the same experience & talent on D, but we let Bradford throw all over us with a patchwork O Line (seriously?) plus continually had Harris vs Diggs (seriously?).
I'll give them a very thin pass, but if we're seeing this 3 out of the next 4, heads should roll come playoff time cause we'll be sitting at the house. The inexperience excuse is getting old, precisely why it is THE #1 worst excuse. |

Re: What's most dissappointing after the loss to the Vikings?
Defensive play calling. We were in zone long past the point when it was obviously not working. We needed to blitz more. The 4 man rush wasn't getting it done. Bradford was too comfortable in the pocket. Playing Harris over Moore was a mistake. Keeping Harris in the game was just stupid. Dennis Allen completely blew it.

Obviously, they thought we could get through there O line with just the front four. But when it is not working, you have to adjust. Where was the adjustment?? DA did a pretty good job with that last year. This loss is just as much if not more on the coaching staff and there game plan. |

It seems like we sustained every Vikings drive with a penalty

No, not on that particular play. His route was a stop and go, defender bit and TLL was off to the races. Perfect separation but Drew (he was under a lot of heat) over threw him because he had no time to set his feet.
Side note - the only thing TLL lacks is size. Dude is a gamer. |

Re: What's most dissappointing after the loss to the Vikings?
Last rant on the disappointment vs Vikes ...
Kenny Vaccarro. I'm in the minority on this board but this guy has been disappointing for me. At times, he plays way too aggressive, undisciplined & has bad technique. IIRC, we were in zone coverage and Lattimore let his man go (assuming he'd have safety help) but he was late. Result ... TD. KV is in a contract year and I see no reason to throw the Wells Fargo truck at him. He needs a good deal of study in the film room, re group and bring a better performance against New England. |

Re: What's most dissappointing after the loss to the Vikings?
Coaching comes first to me because this team just didn't look ready to play on either side of the ball. Defense stumbled, Offense stumbled (which is kinda weird to say since they were in the red zone 5 times). It is a real head scratcher to me also the game plan concerning the running attack, I understand dedicating to the run, but after 3 quarters of the same result, time to switch gears a little.
