What's most dissappointing after the loss to the Vikings?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hate to beat a dead horse but we must find a way to create turnovers . Strips, punching the ball out, INT's & getting off the field on 3rd down. And I agree with the play of Anzalone, Lattimore ...

And I agree with the play of Anzalone, Lattimore & Tommy. He created separation from the defender on that bomb but Brees slightly over threw him, otherwise 6. Malcolm Butler can be had in the dome.

I just don't understand how PJ got beat so badly, that crossing route all he had to do was turn and look for the ball.

He did look tentative/hesitant but essentially PJ is a rookie.

I'm more disappointed in Dennis Allen's game approach more than anything. Pre season we saw a lot of stunts, blitzing & guys moving like their head was on fire. Our secondary made Thielan (mostly 3rd down conversions) look like Odell on crossing routes. I mean he was WIDE open on several plays.

Explain to me why you have Harris vs Diggs on those boundaries?? I just think we were out coached on defense. No way Harris should be on the field this Sunday.

Time to re group (see sig/Roman Harper quote), film study and prepare to defeat NE in the dome on a short week.

Very good point about DA and Harris.

I don't understand why Harris was even out there, after Harris got beat the 50th time they should have put Lattimore against Diggs and see what he could do.

The thing that is most disappointing is we all bought into the hype and they've made me feel foolish.

I've completely lost faith in Payton, DA only has a job because they are buddies, Payton essentially wants a "yes man" and DA will never argue with him.

I made the exact comment to fam about not seeing any stunts. We didn't do it once from what I saw. We had better play calling in the preseason ffs. Real game comes and its as vanilla as can be?? WTF. Once you see they keep smoking us at ease, it's time to change. Bring pressure..why is this so hard to do.

Obviously, they thought we could get through there O line with just the front four. But when it is not working, you have to adjust. Where was the adjustment?? DA did a pretty good job with that last year. This loss is just as much if not more on the coaching staff and there game plan.

Wasn't Tommylee held on that play, a flag thrown for PI?

No, not on that particular play. His route was a stop and go, defender bit and TLL was off to the races. Perfect separation but Drew (he was under a lot of heat) over threw him because he had no time to set his feet.

Side note - the only thing TLL lacks is size. Dude is a gamer.
