My 2 favs to bang around with top TEs in the NFL are Ronnie Harrison SS/FS/CB Alabama 6011 214 4.54 #15 Jr Tre Flowers SS/FS Oklahoma St. 6021 198 4.54 #31 Sr One with upside in coverage or one out to prove he has the coverage skills Kyzir White SS/OLB West Virginia 6025 215 4.56 #8 Sr All three are lights out hitters. They love making players blow snot bubbles. You never stop Gronk you can only hope to minimize his impact. Kenny is not the answer |
Re: Saints Trade LB Stephone Anthony to Dolphins
I've been really impressed by Anzalone, mainly his mobility. He is a rookie, and he missed a substantial amount of time in college due to injuries, so he needs to be coached up. I don't see any reason why Nolan wouldn't be able to mold him into a legit star if he remains healthy.

Anzalone has the athleticism, but I am nervous about him moving from MLB at Florida to NFL OLB. OLB takes a different discipline. That's a lot of learn all while the defense you are playing on so far is getting shredded left and right.

Re: Saints Trade LB Stephone Anthony to Dolphins
I heard something interesting about the Anthony trade yesterday on NFL Radio. They said that Joe Vitt was most likely very instrumental in the Dolphins desire to trade for him. It turns out that Vitt is an "unofficial consultant" for the Dolphins now. They even used the verbal air quotes. I had forgotten that Vitt is Miami head coach Adam Gase's father-in-law. The Dolphins were just forced to suspend starting LB Laurence Timmons for unknown reasons (he disappeared from the team hotel and they even put out a missing persons report on him). They were already very short-handed at LB and desperate. Apparently, Vitt may have lobbied for Anthony because he was the one that wanted him to be drafted.

A lot was made about his tackles being down the field, but the guy was the first Saints rookie in over a decade to log over 100 tackles. They then brought Laurinitus in and stunted Anthony's growth by trying to move him outside, where he barely got 1 snap a game. They should have stuck with him, I think Miami will turn him into a stud. |

That sends a bad message. All 32 teams passed for a reason. |
