The roster spot would be needed for another LB. Breaux is not needed at the moment.

This link could be totally unrelated, however it makes you wonder what the severity is of Anzalone's recent injury.

The Saints saw Alex Anzalone go down with a shoulder injury in last Sunday’s victory over the Dolphins. They’ll have an extended stretch to see if he gets healthy thanks to a bye in Week Five.
I believe the above quote says it all; at least have a backup plan for depth if Anzalone has to miss extended time...
