I wouldn't mind a kalif barnes-OT-washingtonin 1st round. 2nd -daryl blackstock-virginia- OLB. if we trade howard and get an extra pick in 2nd also grab elton brown-guard-virginia. 3rd-robert mccune-ILB-louisville 4th-vincent jackson-WR/TE-northern colorado 5th-anthony bryant-DT-alabama 6th derrick johnese-RB-northwestern state 7th-darian durant-QB-N.C. can play DB WR RB too |

oh and Loomis kept on saying how he loves the secondary and also that he loves AB and has no intentions on drafting a young QB to hopefully takeover.
I heard the interview around 3:00 yesterday adam shyne really attacked him with questions. mickey really seemed uncomfortable. |

I don\'t believe anything I hear from Haslet or Loomis this close to the draft. Haslet especially tries to mislead other teams in the press. I wouldn\'t be surprised if Loomis is doing the same, but you never know until they actually pick.

I\'m with Scotty on this.
Further, we don\'t need that many OLinemen. Why would we use a second pick to get a guard (even if we got an extra second)? That sounds like bs to me. I like Blackstock and McCune though. Of course, pretty well no matter which two of the upper level LBs you add to our roster in the draft, our LB corps will be both unproven and a bit unimpressive (at least until after we see them play). |

he didnt say anything about getting an offensive lineman in the 2nd I just think elton brown is going to be a heck of a guard and would be too good to pass up.
having bentley barnes brown holland could really have an offensive line that could eventually become elite. |

I agree why pick a Guard at 2nd round (we have plenty)?
I also think Blackstock is better suited with a 3-4 D so i dont think we will get him. I think we will get a QB somewhere in draft, more for a backup to AB tho (i would\'nt mind AM) Dont think we will get a RB either And i aint even herd of 3 thru 7 are they any good? |

we did get a secondhand report that the front office had marcus johnson from ole miss ranked very high. he is a guard that could project as a tackle. he will probably be around at #40 tho.
i wouldn\'t mind a trade down at all tho. the next level of lb\'s- burnett, blackstock, thurman, etc. all project to late first/early 2nd rd. i have ragged it enough alrady perhaps but saints #16 & #82 is a perfect trade for the eagles #31 & 35. 31-35-40 could get 3 potential starters on this defense (or ot). |

I agree and think Jackson will be good. He is a project though, and may take a couple years to develope. Never played above the JUCO level
