Vision. The kid sees holes that other backs would miss and is able to hit them hard.
Balance. I've never seen anyone with balance like that. It is extrodinary to watch. |

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
Strange analogy but he reminds me a lot of Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee saw 5 steps ahead and used the movement of his opponent to counter. This is exactly what Kamara does, not only does he see the movement of his immediate opponent and anticipate but he sees the movement of the next guy etc. It's why he sees things others don't and pushes so far per carry. Incredible to watch.

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
Kamara is a special player and would like to see him stay that way.
The thing that worries me is when he dives over players. In the Carolina game he came down and landed on his neck. When you go airborne too much in the NFL, odds are you are more susceptible to serious injury. |

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
He is good but I doubt he will ever be great unless there is another back for him to share the load with. He also plays like an injury waiting to happen.

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
He is unique. If he can stay healthy (which is sure as hell is no given) he will have a HOF career (stay on the ground dude!). I've been racking my brain thinking of a HOF'er to compare him to. He doesn't have the raw speed and athleticism of Reggie type RB (not saying Reggae Bush is HoF material, to be clear), he doesn't have the crazy legs style like a Sanders, Dickerson, or Walter Payton. He's not big strong brute like Campbell or Peterson either. The closest I can think of is Marshall Faulk. Maybe not quite as fast, and maybe a little stronger.
On that first TD of the Kitties game the LB HAD him. Squared him. Denied him. Yet he still managed to score. Wow. |
