Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
Kmara is the most unique talent Ive ever seen. He is slower than Reggie Bush. He is probably thinner than Reggie too. He isnt nearly the polished route runner that Reggie showed up as. Which rookie had a better year? Reggie caught 90 passes his rookie year, an NFL rookie RB record he still holds. Not many TDs though. Kmara runs up the middle. He runs through tackles but he doesnt juke guys or lower his head. I can think of no former RB he reminds me of. Marshal Faulk, Reggie, Eric Metcalf are similar in result but not in style. Maybe a little like James Brooks from Cinncinatti. Hes definetely the next great Saints back. I watched Dalton, Ricky, Deuce and Reggie to name my favorites. Kmara started the game vs Carolina, one of the best defenses with possibly the best LBs in the league. Pregame all they talked about was stopping Kmara. They failed. Recently his dominance has reminded me of stretches Jimmy Graham had in his prime. Kmara looks like one of the best weapons in the NFL. Leveon Bell might be better I guess. Wait until he refines his route running and we can throw him some deep balls. I wanna see him get 20 carries one day. Either way he basically never leaves the field. Glad we have him.
