How special is Alvin Kamara?
We know he is special. But how special is this kid? I really think we have a future LT type guy on our hands. This guy just has the stuff. I’ve always been a fan of the running game. For whatever reason I just love watching a beautiful run play. And this kid, my goodness, does he not make running the ball look amazing. I will quote my wife. She said, “he looks like poetry in motion.”
He needs to hold up the hurdles a bit. They look awesome when he lands on his feet but not so much when he landed on his head Sunday. |

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
Kmara is the most unique talent Ive ever seen. He is slower than Reggie Bush. He is probably thinner than Reggie too. He isnt nearly the polished route runner that Reggie showed up as. Which rookie had a better year? Reggie caught 90 passes his rookie year, an NFL rookie RB record he still holds. Not many TDs though. Kmara runs up the middle. He runs through tackles but he doesnt juke guys or lower his head. I can think of no former RB he reminds me of. Marshal Faulk, Reggie, Eric Metcalf are similar in result but not in style. Maybe a little like James Brooks from Cinncinatti. Hes definetely the next great Saints back. I watched Dalton, Ricky, Deuce and Reggie to name my favorites. Kmara started the game vs Carolina, one of the best defenses with possibly the best LBs in the league. Pregame all they talked about was stopping Kmara. They failed. Recently his dominance has reminded me of stretches Jimmy Graham had in his prime. Kmara looks like one of the best weapons in the NFL. Leveon Bell might be better I guess. Wait until he refines his route running and we can throw him some deep balls. I wanna see him get 20 carries one day. Either way he basically never leaves the field. Glad we have him.

Re: How special is Alvin Kamara?
Fairly difficult to stop. Stacking the box doesn't work either. The blocking is outstanding and he slips through it almost every single time. And if he believes he is Neo then he is Neo of the Matrix. Tell yourself something long enough and eventually you start believing it and everyone else starts believing it. Even Ingram is starting to say stuff about his own "Matrix" abilities and changing up his run style instead of trying to plow over people. It's real. If you watched his big run he slowed down then speed up which he almost NEVER does. Got another 20 yards out of it.

It was as if Carolina's LBs were in slow motion.
Kamara had gone "bullet time"..... |

Vision. The kid sees holes that other backs would miss and is able to hit them hard.
Balance. I've never seen anyone with balance like that. It is extrodinary to watch. |
