Two things I knew was reinforced - fans of the atl are among the worst in football and not everyone is ready to embrace the NFL after slighting the anthem...

What I learned?! Someone paid the referees off...

Illegal helmet to helmet hit on Kamara which resulted in a concussion

OPI on Sanu's touchdown wasn't called

A sneeze on Ryan that resulted in a roughing the passer

Numerous holding penalties on the Falcons which were turned a blind eye to

Regardless, the better team lost tonight. It pisses me off because this basically ensures we won’t get a first round bye. Need to get healthy and we’ll easily win the next 3 games.
We can still get a first round bye. We have an easier remaining schedule than Minnesota. But Minnesota has to lose week 15 to Cincinatti.

I've been down on the TEs for a while. They stink. The year we traded JG Sean said Hill had all the makings to play that type of role. He didn't do it then and never has. Hill is a good back up TE, but not a starter. Even if we had made a trade this year to get JG back that was still an INT by Drew. He is human; he forced a ball ala Favre. Ryan was a pickosaurus last night. The young players will learn and Drew knows better.

Get healthy. Focus on the Jets. Get a W. Then the Falcons will face our wrath and that will be then end of the BS just like Carloina. We're going to the playoffs so enjoy it

I may have missed a rule but I think it's still fair game (like PT in San Fran) to hit helmet to helmet on a RB as long as it isn't egregious. I enjoyed seeing us be able to play without Kamara. We showed we can play without doing what we did with JG. The roughing the passer was a joke, but home cooking is to be expected. We got a huge call in our favor last week against Carolina. You have to beat the opponent and the refs. The Patriots do this well.

He didn’t spear him. You can hit a guy and make helmet to helmet contact.

Not if the crown of the helmet is used and the player is deemed defenseless, or unaware of the impending contact. The crown was used and the blow was from the side where Kamara was defenseless, or had no chance of avoiding the direct contact.

If any of you do not believe that Deion Jones didn't plant that head hit on purpose then I don't know what to think.
