Bad play calling by Payton, but Drew was simply horrible in this game. Wouldn't step up in the pocket and throw a unnecessary risky throw that is intercepted. Ingram was open. I really think those interviews that was implying the team didn't have to rely on him, got to him.

Brees did the same thing vs Washington, threw a pick in a dire moment, however the refs called Holding and brought it back.

This doesn't make any sense. If our defense is "sucking wind" the last thing you want to do is play OT. That's why you go for the win. The playcalling from SP was terrible throughout the night but passing at the end was correct. Just a bad decision to throw it to Hill.

Problem is Brees had three Hot Dogs with double sauerkraut before Kickoff. He figured he would be handing the ball off all night.

Throwing into triple coverage to a back up TE when other options would include Thomas and Coleman is just a bad decision.

FWIW, I'm not worried at all about Atlanta. They won't see the post season.

I agree with this. We needed to win the game there. We had too many things going against us if the game ended up in overtime.

That play lost us this game. We would have won BUT FOR THAT PLAY.

I feel pretty sure Payton feels like he should have his a$$ kicked right about now ( oh except for it's the refs fault ) and I would be happy to oblige.
