It wasn't just the last called play, it was not trying to run throughout the second half...

Even if you got run meat & potatoes with Edmunds, at least burn some clock and keep the defense honest...

Before anyone says you don't throw Edmunds in cold at the end of the game - which would be a mistake - Edmunds should have been put in much earlier in the game; even if he doesn't tear 'em off at 5 RuYd/Att, he would at least keep ATL defense honest, eat up game clock, and give even more of a rest...
