"The NFL has confirmed that former Falcons player Phil McKinnely served as the down judge for the Saints-Falcons game. McKinnely spent five years with the Falcons, from 1976 through 1980. He played for the Bears in 1981 and the Rams in 1982.
The strangest aspect of the assignment is that McKinnely isn’t a member of the crew that worked the game. He’s the down judge on Bill Vinovich’s crew, but he was assigned to work on Clete Blakeman’s crew." I seem to remember a ref being made to quit in the past because someone dug up pictures of him in Saints Memorabilia. Last edited by Halo; 12-10-2017 at 04:02 PM.. |

Goodell rears his ugly head again, this time lifting his head out of Authur Blank's trousers. These are neither moral nor ethical people. They cannot be trusted. I wish the Benson's would be more aggressive and sue the league.

Goodell can go frack himself. I hate to say it but I hope someone would assassinate the dude before he destroys the entire game of football.

Re: Side Judge Phil Mckinnely used to play for the Falcons
I don’t know the answer to these questions, if someone could look it up it would be great.
Was this the judge who threw the flag on: The roughing call on Rankins? The penalty on Payton? The procedure call at the end of the half? Was he also the ref that insisted Kamara be entered into concussion protocol? If this official was responsible for all or 3 of 4 then there has got to be collusion here... it just doesn’t look good at all. |
